Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Teye Partey talks about Mikel Arteta and Diego Semeone and also reveals how he spent lots of money buying noodles for girls just to please them.
In an interview spotted by okesemedia.com, Partey who plies his trade with Arsenal in the English Premier League noted Semeone helped him to be mentally strong and to be able to fight for position.
”He has done a great job and still doing a great job, for me personally, he helped me a lot to be mentally strong, to be able to fight for position, fight for every ball and also you know you to be able to play in every position”.
Also he said, Both Semeone and Arteta have the same mentality which is winning and always create chances behind but the difference is Arteta don’t wait for opposition to be around you before you get them on the counter.
”Well i think both have the same mentality which is winning, always have the chance create a lot of chances behind and you know here the difference is we don’t give chance, we press high always from the first minute to the nighty minute and in Atletico you know sometimes you have to wit for the opposition to be around you and then you get them on the counter”.
He then also revealed that his irresistible taste for instant noodles also contributed in squandering his money on the food.
Recounting some life experiences growing up in Ghana, the former Athletico Madrid player said, ladies often demand instant noodles from him/guys on their first date.
According to him, a number of Ghanaian men spend a chunk of their income buying instant noodles to impress their love ones on a daily basis.
The player sarcastically reiterated that it was high time he even became an ambassador for a noodles company.
