A disturbing sad photo of a pregnant woman in labour being conveyed to a health facility in a remote part of Ghana on a wooden door has sparked outrage on social media.
The incident is reported to have happened at Abrokyire, a farming community in the Aowin Municipality in the Western North Region.
Due to the absence of healthcare facility, residents of the community were compelled to carry the pregnant woman who happens to be one Hagar Gyamfi, on a wooden door to a nearby clinic at Boison.
According to the accounts of residents of Abrokyire, they have to travel miles to access taxi, and hours more to get to the clinic due to bad road network; the community is about sic miles from the health center.
This is the predicament of citizens who have been voting since the beginning of democracy.
These issues and many others triggered the Ghanaian citizen to embark on #FixTheCountryGhana awareness.
