G/A: Poor sanitation affecting livelihood of residents in Prampram

Residents of Program in the Ningo – Prampram District of the Greater Accra Region are under threat of contacting the outbreak of cholera among other deadly diseases as the community looks filthy and unhealthy.


The community which is the District Capital for Ningo – Prampram District has been turned into open defecation and a dumping site affecting living condition of the people.


According to sources, residents have opted for the use of the sea shore for defecation instead of the toilet facilities in the community.

The community is also said to have been without refuse containers and that had contributed immersely to the excessive heap of refuse at the sea shore and other Surrounding areas, thus making the community unkempt and unhygienic.
