The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has released a new timetable for a planned power outage in Accra from 27th May to June 11.
The planned outage is to enable the completion of construction works on the Kasoa Bulk Supply Point.
The outage will help Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) undertake work on the 161KV Plant.
The next phase of the outage will be in the evening, from 6pm to midnight.
Several areas will be affected and they have been grouped into three (A, B, and C), for effective management of the schedule.
According to Mr Kwame Agyeman Budu, the Managing Director of ECG, Group A will experience the outage for six days and Group B and C will have five days each.
He said this follows the successful implementation of a similar exercise that ended last week and enabled work to be completed on the Pokuase Bulk Power Supply Plant.
He made this known on Thursday, May 20, 2021.
The affected areas in the various groups include:
Golden Tulip, Ablekuma, Cantonment, Alliance Francaise, Awudme, Osu RE, Sampa Vally, Tetegu, Kaneshie Market, Banana Inn, Gbawe Top Base, Teshie, Abease, Mataheko, and Teshie Composite Plant.
The rest are, Wesley Grammar, Yomo Specs, Akoko Photo, Glefe, Teshie Maamli, La, Agbleezaa, Nanakrom, Airport Hills, Martey Tsuru, mMax Mart, Botwe Old Town, Zoomlion, and Otanor.
Tesano, Roman Ridge, Airport Residential Area, Nima, Bubuashie, Dzorwulu, Dansoman SSNIT Flats, Bulemi, Agege,Ayigbe Town, West Hills Mall, Gbegbeyisee, Sunday Factory, Bortianor, Kokrobite, Westland, Regimanuel Estates, Haatso, Kesseiman, Great Estates, Obidenen, Legon Hills Tse Addoman, and Little Roses.
