Asante Kotoko’s only female board member Evelyn Nsiah Asare has heaped praises on the playing body for their performance and result recorded against Liberty Professionals last Monday.
The Porcupine Warriors hosted the Scientific Soccer Lads in their Ghana Premier League Match week 8 encounter. Kotoko got off to a flying start, playing in a way unseen before so far this season.
The team, full of energy and brimming with determination piled pressure on their opponents right from the onset and were duly rewarded with two first half goals, courtesy striker Kwame Poku.
Despite some standout performances by specific players like Poku, Fabio Gama, Razak Abalora and a select few, the overall team performance was very different to what has been witnessed in earlier played games.
Evelyn Nsiah Asare acknowledges that the players simply delivered as expected and could not reserve her commendations for them.
“I want to praise the players. For once I did see whatever I needed in a team. Its true that there’s more room for improvement, but they’ve done well and deserve commendation,” She told Kessben TV.
Kotoko’s next immediate assignment is a trip to Sogakope to face WAFA in the Ghana Premier League. Madam Nsiah Asare has wished the team well ahead of the game.
“I wish them well and hope they get a win against WAFA. For once I was able to eat my fufu last Monday. I believe Kotoko will make progress with time,” Nsiah Asare concluded.
